850 Girlguiding Staffordshire Brownies and their leaders attended the Strictly Sparkly Sleepover in Blackpool in September.
Throughout the weekend the Brownies visited Blackpool’s Sea Life Centre, Madame Tussauds and the Tower 4D experience as well as having time to explore Blackpool.
Late on Saturday afternoon everyone gathered back together in the Tower Ballroom where the Brownies all danced together on the dancefloor to the #dothestrictly dance that they’d been practicing in the run up to the sleepover.
Following this the Brownies had the chance to judge their very own Strictly Come Dancing style competition. They were wowed by three couples who were all fabulous but the winner was decided by which couple received the loudest cheer!
After dinner the Brownies were treated to an exclusive performance by the Blackpool tower Circus. Brownies and leaders alike were amazed by the acrobats and laughed at the clowns. Unsurprisingly, after such a day of excitement and adventure the
Brownies quickly settled down to sleep inside the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Jungle Jims.
A wonderful time has had by everyone who attended and the feedback received from leaders, girls and parents has been astounding.
