Sisters Georgina and Harriet Chamberlain were recently presented with their Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
The leaders, from Uttoxeter Division, were fortunate enough to have Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, in attendance as well as a number of celebrities who gave inspirational speeches. Each recipient is allowed one guest and Georgina and Harriet were fortunate that their celebrations were on the same day meaning that both parents could attend. They all enjoyed tea and cupcakes!
Both girls and their mum wore uniform and were spoken to by many other guests who recognised their county badges.
They finished the day with a visit to Girlguiding headquarters for another cup of tea and opportunity to shop for some of the latest badges.
