This is a full face-to-face 1st Response course covering all three sessions in 1 day.
There is a cost of £10 for 1st Response training. This is a legitimate unit expense and should be claimed back from your unit. Please see our booking terms & conditions.
There is also an e-learning aspect to the 1st Response course and this should ideally be completed just before you attend the full training course. If you have previously completed the e-learning and the dates are out of sync with your actual training course then we recommend you re-do the e-learning so that your dates line up – this avoids you going non-compliant as GO doesn’t remind you when your e-learning expires. Your GO record will not be updated until all the sessions plus the e-learning are complete. The e-learning can be found on the learning platform https://learning.girlguiding.org.uk.
Once complete, your 1st Response training will be valid for 3 years. You’ll need to redo the full training course and e-learning every 3 years in order to make sure your training is up to date.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that when booking you provide details of an emergency contact who can be contacted during the course if needed (not yourself). This person should be informed that you have nominated them as your emergency contact.
