Kibblestone Scout Camp
Staffordshire are looking to EMPOWER our young adults (members aged 14 – 30) with this full day event, that will spark members to explore new opportunities within guiding and equip them with skills to be bold and brilliant!
The Day Event
The daytime is split into 4 sessions:
- Empower you Adventure
- Empower to Be Brilliant
- Empower your Future
- Empower to be Resilient
Empower your Adventure
You will have the opportunity to take part in one of the adventurous activities available at Kibblestone. The following activities will be on offer to choose from:
- Cave Maze
- Crate Stacking
- High All Aboard (high ropes course)
- Jacob’s Ladder
- Rifle Shooting
- The Eliminator (vertical obstacle course)

Empower to Be Brilliant
You will partake in a workshop session to develop life skills that will build your confidence, boost positivity and develop a mindset to Be Brilliant!
Empower your Future
There are a huge array of opportunities open to you in Girlguiding Staffordshire and beyond. Within this session you will have the chance to see what opportunities, roles and awards are available to you and also have the chance to meet other people from around the county.
Empower to Be Resilient
Resilience is key to young adults’ wellbeing. Within this workshop, you will learn the mechanisms to build resilience to the stresses that affect you as a young adult.
Following these sessions, you will have the opportunity to meet your Division Commissioner to find out about the opportunities available to you in your Division.
Finally, at the end of the day event we will be launching the new 18 – 30s section within Staffordshire … KNOTS!
The Evening Event
The evening will include a fun filled Ceilidh Barn Dance with Live Music and a Hog Roast (alternative will be provided for dietary requirements).
There are 3 options for attendance of this event:
WHOLE EVENT £35 which includes daytime activities and workshops, lunch, Ceilidh dance, dinner and an event pack (yes, this does include a badge!)
DAY ONLY (9:30am – 7:30pm) £20 which includes daytime activities and workshops, lunch, and an event pack (yes, this does include a badge!)
EVENING ONLY (6:30pm – 10:00pm) £22 which includes Ceilidh dance, dinner and an event pack (yes, this does include a badge!)
There is also the option for Ranger/Senior Section Leaders to attend the event. They will be provided with all meals and event pack (yes, you too also get a badge!). This will be at a cost of £12.
As the event finishes at 10:00pm, there is the opportunity to camp overnight. This is optional and will have no additional charge. Tents will not be provided, therefore you will have to make your own tentage arrangements. A light breakfast will be provided on the following morning. ‘Check out’ will be before 10:00am.
Kibblestone Campsite is very easy to access via car. Please lift share with friends and others from your Division where possible due to parking. For those that don’t drive or can’t liftshare, there will be a shuttle bus provided from Stone Train Station to Kibblestone. This will run from 8:30am from Stone Train Station.
