We are planning an exciting trip to London just for Girlguiding Staffordshire adult volunteers!
The basics
When: Saturday 18th April 2026 to Sunday 19th April 2026.
Where: depart by coach from Hixon at 8.00am to Pax Lodge, London and depart from London at 15.30 on Sunday.
What is included: coach transfer, overnight stay and breakfast at Pax Lodge,

At Pax Lodge, one of the five world centres:
Flag ceremony – Every morning at 9:00 we raise the World flag and sing the world song. This is free for everyone to join in and usually takes around 5 minutes, depending on how many guests join.
Pinning ceremony – Each of the World Centres has their own unique pin which can only be purchased by being at the World Centre in person. Receive yours during a special ceremony £3 per person, available all day.
Pax Lodge Challenge – Take on our Centre challenge to find out more about the history and running of Pax Lodge. Each participant receives a booklet of questions, the answers to which can be found around the ground floor of the building and through talking to staff and volunteers. Upon successful completion you will receive a badge. £5 per person.
Challenges Around London – Choose one of our themed challenges to guide you around some of the most famous places across London and earn a badge as you go! Each participant receives a booklet of instructions with a set of locations to visit and short tasks to complete whilst you are there. Each challenge takes around 6 hours to complete, but we recommend allocating a full day to allow time to explore each location!
Booklet and badge £5 per person. Choose from: Monopoly, Harry Potter, Paddington Bear, Mary Poppins, Geocaching, Footsteps Of Our Founders, or Turn Back Time.
Evening Programme – a 1.5-hour session with two of our international volunteers playing games or singing songs around the campfire. £6 per person.
Not included
What is not included: Transport fares in London, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.
