New to leadership in Girlguiding? Want to get through the Leadership Qualification as quickly as possible? Then the Staffordshire Leadership Induction Programme (SLIP) has been designed just for you. This free course aims to help new leaders to understand what evidence is needed to complete the Leadership Qualification in as short a time as possible.
Come and share ideas for game and activities with other new leaders and learn about the history and structure of Guiding locally, nationally and internationally.
During the first day we include a programme awareness session, some Promise activities and an introduction to managing the GO database.
On the second day you will complete Safe Space Levels 1 and 2 followed by discussions on financial matters, behaviour management and leadership issues.
Greatest benefit is gained from attending both days but you are welcome to attend one day if needed to suit your personal circumstances. Please just let us know if this is the case.
This course is running on two consecutive Saturdays (13th & 20th June) rather than over a weekend.
