Stone Town Carnival was in for a treat when they were lucky enough to be graced with the presence of royalty for their annual festival and carnival!
Stone District Girlguiding was out in force and leading their walking group was Mrs Diana Scott, M.B.E, President of Stone District (her Majesty) accompanied by her Rainbow Princesses and bringing up the rear were her Brownie Guardsmen, Guide pearly princesses and an array of Brownies, Rainbows, Senior Section and parents all wearing red, white and blue. However, the highlight of the parade were the eight royal corgis who enjoyed their walk in the limelight! Stone District went onto claim second prize with their Happy Birthday Ma’am. Rainbow Leader Mara West commented that ‘’all the girls had a fantastic time and showed the people of Stone that there is lots of fun to be had in Girlguiding”
