Recently,  Stone & Eccleshall Divsion, held their Brownie Revels at Maer, Staffordshire. District Commissioner, Cathy Collier, tells us about the event.

“I, as Stone Town Mayor and also Stone District Commissioner, had the honour of opening the event.  We all had so much fun and all was quiet until, when showing our local MP, Bill Cash around I faced a challenge!  A group of Brownies were hurtling down the grassy bank enjoying the excitement of grass sledging and before I knew what was happening, one Brownie fastened a cycle helmet on my head, another gave me her gloves and I was thrust onto a sledge and launched down the bank by six Brownies.  They were determined that I was going to go a long long way.  Fortunately the Mayoral Chain and I both survived the experience!”
