17th Longton Guides attended the Autumn activity camp for Scouts and Guides at Kibblestone Scout Camp. They were the only Guide unit there and what an amazing time they had.
The girls faced many challenges: fear of the dark; fear of enclosed spaces; fear of heights; and for many they were camping for the first time. Not only did they rise to every challenge but also won several trophies (they’re surprised they aren’t banned from going back). They won awards for winning the wide game, team work, highest crate stack, individual overcoming adversity, and fastest girl time round the cave maze!
It was a very muddy and very wet weekend that saw several of them lining their wet boots with bags to keep their feet dry! The girls were all amazing and the unit are now looking ahead to unity 2018!
