Welcome to the Training Team

As the newly County Programme and Training Team, we hope to organise training sessions that are available in the North, South, East and West of the County, ensuring that all members are given the chance to attend training events, in convenient locations.

The team plans to develop a comprehensive programme that covers First Response, Sectional trainings, Mentor trainings and Safe Space as well as a variety of other training, that will help and inspire you to deliver varied programmes within your units.  It is hoped that by producing a yearly plan of activities it will assist those new leaders when working through their ALQ and preparing their action plan as well as allowing those more established leaders to update skills and knowledge and network with others and share the wealth of knowledge that we have within the County.

Training forms a key part of being a leader in Guiding.  It helps leaders to stay up to date and full of new ideas to keep our unit meetings safe and fun.  As a team we aim to ensure that all trainings give a warm welcome and hope that they will inspire those attending to spread the word that training can be fun, friendly and informative.
