Tamworth’s Girlguiding members have marked World Thinking Day with a Prom at Drayton Manor’s Tower and Hamilton Suites. The 430 girls and young women of Tamworth joined together for an evening of dancing, presentations and a quiz.
Division Commissioner, Marie Hames, said, “It was lovely to see so many members of Tamworth GirlGuiding – girls and leaders – join together to enjoy World Thinking Day. Our thanks go to the staff of Drayton Manor who provided a fantastic service. 2014 is a very important year for us as we celebrate 100 years of Brownies, so this is just the first of many exciting events”.
Chloe Ward, a Young Leader from Coton Green, said “It was the best Thinking Day event ever!”. One Brownie even asked for her bedtime drink in a champagne glass, as that’s what she’d had at the party.
