The Magic Owl Challenge has been designed in loving memory of Helen who volunteered at 1st Brereton Brownies in Staffordshire alongside her daughter, Sian. Helen became Magic Owl when the Unit risked closure when other leaders stepped back from their roles.
The Magic Owl Challenge is made up of all of Magic Owl’s favourite activities both in and out of Girlguiding. Magic Owl adored Girlguiding and was working through her Adult Leadership Qualification at the time of her sudden passing.
50% of the profits from the badge will be donated to the British Heart Foundation, whilst the other profits will remain with 1st Brereton Brownies to develop a legacy fund for members who may have financial barriers stopping them from being able to enjoy Girlguiding to the fullest.
