Staffordshire Trefoil Guild members certainly stepped up to the challenge of helping with the activities at Girlguiding Staffordshire’s 100th birthday celebrations at the Staffordshire County Showground.
As well as helping with stalls and activities members also entertained and escorted V.I.Ps around the showground. In the Fun House zone one member gave a realistic impression of being ‘mystic meg’, while others dressed as circus entertainers and some became tattoo artists to make it a day to remember for all ages in Girlguiding.
Towards the end of the afternoon members put on their green sparkly cowboy hats and green T shirts and took a grandstand seat to watch the spectacular carnival parade into the viewing arena by Division Commissioners dressed in carnival costumes followed by their Divisions.
There followed a concert headlined by Flawless. Other performers included Robbie Williams tribute act- Dan Budd, Olly Murs tribute act and Disney Dazzle – a tribute to Disney.
Although there were some dark skies to show off the fireworks it was a gloriously sunny and warm day which everyone enjoyed.
