Join the Team
Unity would not run without the volunteers we have on our core teams, you don’t have to be a Guide Leader or even a member of Girlguiding Staffordshire to join a team (although if you are not registered with Girlguiding you will need a DBS check). If you would like to register for a team then please click the link to the Staff Booking Form below.

To be a member of this team you need two key skills – able to keep secrets ‘top secret’ and have the ability to think big and creative and when we say big – we want wow and spectacular. We would like a Team Leader and five or six members of the team – you can be from any section.
The activities team plays a pivotal role in the experience the girls have at UNITY and 2018 is no exception to the fun, they are planning on improving the dynamic and exciting programme of 2014. This team covers the day time activities only Monday to Friday. We are looking for activity instructors, mini bus drivers and volunteers to man bases, share skills and knowledge. You can help for as little as one morning or afternoon or the whole week

Whether you’re a photographer, wordsmith or graphic designer there’s a job in the Media Team for you. We also need people to help put together our camp newsletter and various booklets.
Do you enjoy meeting everyone on camp? Are you able to add up quickly? Do you know your tuck shop sweets and badges? If so, the shop team may be just for you – open Saturday to Friday during the day and early evening, you can help for a few hours to the whole week.
The safety of everyone on site is paramount to a good camp and this can only happen with the fabulous security team who work around the clock from Saturday to Saturday – don’t worry it’s in shifts so you get chance to sleep and eat! Car parking duties, checking day visits, emergency drills and site patrols is just a small part of the work they do. You also have front seats at the opening and closing ceremonies but sssshhhhhh don’t tell anyone.
Each sub camp has a team to lead and support the units, we are looking to build on the success of 2014 by having a small team for each sub camp as we appreciate that this is a huge role. It is also an important role and helps units who have not been before understand the day to day running of camp, helps to solve camping problems, gets you in the right place at the right time and are overall stars of a good sub camp.
