Routes to Abbotsholme

By Road
Abbotsholme is located just north of the A50, a major dual carriageway that connects the M1 in the east to the M6 in the west.

From M1 North & South:
Turn off at Junction 24 and take the A50 towards Stoke on Trent. At Uttoxeter, take the B5030 northbound. When on the B5030, travel for about 3 miles until JCB World Headquarters is reached. Turn right into Rocester village, right at the mini roundabout in the village centre and continue along this road for about 1 mile. Abbotsholme School is signposted on the right.

From M6 North:
Turn off at Junction 15 and follow the A50 to Uttoxeter. At Uttoxeter, take the B5030 northbound. When on the B5030, travel for about 3 miles until JCB World Headquarters is reached. Turn right into Rocester village, right at the mini roundabout in the village centre and continue along this road for about 1 mile. Abbotsholme School is signposted on the right.

From M6 South:
Turn off at Junction 14 and follow the northern bypass at Stafford. Continue until Staffordshire University is reached and join the A518 to Uttoxeter. Follow the signs until the Uttoxeter bypass is reached and then join the B5030. When on the B5030, travel for about 3 miles until JCB World Headquarters is reached. Turn right into Rocester village, right at the mini roundabout in the village centre and continue along this road for about 1 mile. Abbotsholme School is signposted on the right.

By Rail
The railway line between Derby and Manchester passes through Uttoxeter station. Derby has frequent services to London St Pancras and also north to Sheffield, Leeds, York, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the east of Scotland.
Alternatively Stoke-on-Trent station has services to Birmingham, London Euston and north to Manchester, Preston, Carlisle and the west of Scotland.

By Air
Abbotsholme is well placed for access from some of the largest airports in the UK, including Birmingham (49 miles), Manchester (60 miles), Sheffield (45 miles) and East Midlands (31 miles). Manchester airport can be particularly useful since there is a direct train service to Uttoxeter station.
