Young people in our local communities dedicated 130 hours to Girlguiding Staffordshire last year thanks to the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
Young people undertaking one of the Duke of Edinburgh awards need to complete a volunteering challenge as part of their programme. Between April 2024 and March 2025 we benefitted from 130 hours of volunteering from young people who decided to complete this part of their challenge with us. The social value of these hours is £831.
More importantly many of these volunteers continue to volunteer with us and become our much valued young leader who are hopefully future adult leaders.
